“Careloop is an impressive start-up with great potential. We are delighted to welcome the company into our education group. Together, we will, in the future, equip nursing professionals with the skills and qualifications necessary to enter the German labour market and counter the shortage of skilled workers,” explains Philipp Haußmann, Spokesperson of the Klett Group Management Board.
Forecasts predict a shortfall of around 500,000 full-time nursing staff by 2030, which represents a major threat to healthcare system efficiency. To counter this, Careloop has developed the first fully digital process to support the recruitment, qualification and integration of international nursing staff in Germany. Since its foundation in 2019 by Matti Fischer and Alexander Lundberg, the start-up has already placed and successfully integrated several hundred nurses from more than 30 countries in the German healthcare system.
The merger of the two companies offers valuable synergies. Language and subject-related courses significantly enhance the skills and qualifications of the international nursing staff recruited using the Careloop digital platform. The start-up also provides the nurses and employers with comprehensive support services and measures to facilitate integration while the Klett Group offers expertise in teaching German as a foreign language and a strong international network. Together, the two companies will ensure the rapid and effective integration of skilled workers into the German labour market, relieve the long-term burden on the healthcare system and combat the nursing shortage.
Alexander Lundberg, Managing Director and co-founder of Careloop: “Our customised solutions ensure maximum transparency and speed in the recruitment and integration process. We are very much looking forward to opening up new markets in Uzbekistan, Serbia, Ecuador and other countries with the Klett Group and strengthening our educational expertise.” Matti Fischer, co-founder of Careloop, adds: “We have found the ideal partner in the Klett Group. By joining forces with a company synonymous with education and innovation, we can tackle this urgent challenge facing the German healthcare system.”
Alongside their efforts to combat the nursing shortage, the Klett Group and Careloop are planning to expand their activities to other shortage occupations.
