Christian Döttinger, 47, has been working for the Klett Group as the managing director of the holding company Klett Präsenzlernen GmbH since September 2016. This has put him in charge of the Klett Group’s day-care centres and schools. His previous positions included that of chief operating officer for the German book publishers in the Holtzbrinck Publishing Group. Dr David Klett, 42, has held several leading positions in the Klett Group, including as managing director of the holding company Klett Lernen und Information GmbH. There, he has been responsible for key areas of the group’s publishers of specialised information and educational materials both in Germany and abroad. In the future, Christian Döttinger and Dr David Klett will both retain their current responsibilities within the Klett Group.
“The Klett Group has witnessed strong growth in the past few years, and its business areas have continued to become more distinct. In light of these positive developments, the expansion of our management board is a conscious step towards a broader leadership team,” stated Dr (h.c.) Michael Klett, chairman of the Ernst Klett AG supervisory board.
With its new five-member management board – which, along with its two new additions, includes Philipp Haußmann (board spokesman; member since March 2007), Tilo Knoche (since January 2015), and Lothar Kleiner (since October 2016) – the Klett Group is hoping to continue the successes and advancements it has achieved in recent years.
